The geographic data served by this API is compiled from the four open data sources below. Each is credited here as its license requires. Where a source's license asks for a specific form of words, that form of words is used.

This data has been modified. Records are cleaned, deduplicated, merged with other sources, and enriched before being served. The modifications are ours; GeoNames does not endorse them.
